The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul.

President's Message
Dear gardening friends and enthusiasts, I write this sequestered in my home for Covid-19, venturing out only to the grocery store and plant nurseries. I feel much more comfortable in the open air nurseries and I get to see all the beautiful plants in bloom. Just like the grocery store, where I go with a list and come back with a lot more, I go for three specific plants and come home with ten. Ah, heavenly! There’s nothing better when the sun is shining and a cool wind blowing than an escape to the garden. We are fortunate as gardeners that our hobby, our love of gardening, draws us outside.
We face a challenging year ahead. I am fortunate to have a dedicated and talented Board ready to tackle new challenges. Ideas are flowing. We launched a new Facebook page as a means of connection and our followers are growing. We had our first Board meeting on Zoom. While we are still connecting, we sure do miss our gatherings at meetings, field trips and special events....the hugs, the smiles, the great hospitality food. No one knows what the future will look like, but one thing I do know is that the Salt Air Gardeners are up for the challenge.
