Annual membership dues are $40 and are due by May 1 of each year.
are there any requirements or expectations of members?
Yes. Our bylaws state that each member is expected, at a minimum, to: 1. Attend at least four membership meetings each fiscal year (May to April) 2. Actively participate on at least one committee. Active participation means attending committee meetings and assisting with committee functions or events. Failure to be active will result in non renewal of membership the following year. 3. Participate in providing food, beverage or table arrangement at least once a year. The Hospitality Committee coordinates a hostess and providers for each meeting.
may i bring a guest to a membership meeting and is there a cost for the guest?
Yes, guests are always welcome and there is no charge to bring a guest. No notice is required to bring a guest. Please be aware that a guest may only attend as a guest for two meetings each year.
what are the membership meetings like?
Sign-in starts at 10:15 unless otherwise noted on the Programs Calendar. Between 10:30 and 11:00, members and guests enjoy a time to socialize and share in some of the wonderful food and beverages coordinated by the Hospitality Committee. The business meeting begins at 11:00, followed by a program generally around 11:30. Meetings adjourn by 12:30. The membership meeting is where you hear about garden club news, committee updates and progress, and other good stuff.
