Indian River Life Saving Station Community Project
Salt Air Gardeners worked with the Indian River Life Saving Station (IRLSS) to design and upgrade the landscaping around the entry to the facility. The goal was to enhance the existing plantings, which had not been tended to for some time, with additional native and drought tolerant plantings. The IRLSS nominated the Salt Air Gardeners and won a 2017 Governor's Volunteerism Award for conservation.
Work continues each year to make improvements through phased projects.
